Meet Us
Jason Carter
Jason Carter is a Destin native and lives there with his wife, Molly, and three children, Julia, Mac and Miles.
Jason received a master’s degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Management from Georgia Tech and a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama.
Having worked for years in the commercial construction and real estate development industries, Jason brings a wealth of experience to Carter Building Company.
Shannon Nelson
Shannon Nelson graduated from Fort Walton Beach High School in 2000 and attended Florida State University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in 2004. She has been in the construction industry since July of 2004 and has been involved in almost every aspect of the construction process from estimating and contracts to permitting, interior selections and scheduling.
Shannon currently oversees all estimating, interior finish coordination, sub and vendor payments, insurance coverage and contracts.
Shannon is married to David, a Project Manager with Carter Building Company, and they live in Destin with their son, Cooper and daughter, Payton.
